Daphne Swanepoel established Daphne Swanepoel Properties at Swakopmund in February 2009, when the real estate sector at the Namibian coast showed excellent promise and various growth opportunities.
As the central coast is heavily being frequented by overseas tourists, businesspeople, and visitors from other Southern African countries, Daphne found Swakopmund to be the ideal hub for marketing coastal and inland properties to foreign, regional, and local prospective buyers.
She soon added commercial farmland and accommodation establishments to the portfolio since these customers required more varied properties and services.
Through its own comprehensive website, the utilisation of social media (e.g., Facebook) and marketing by its professional agents, Daphne Swanepoel Properties rapidly expanded its local, regional and international customer base, especially in the medium- to high-end market.
Daphne has a wealth of experience and expertise as she has been operating in the Namibian real estate business for more than 45 years. Previously she was part of several estate agencies in Windhoek, of which eight years as CEO and franchise owner of a well-known international estate agency.
